Privacy policy

What we collect

Plot & Zone has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no contact forms. If you write to us by email, we receive what you send. The site doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t run advertising or tracking scripts.

Hosting

The site is served by a hosting and network provider. Like any web server, it receives technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, so it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. We don’t use that data to identify you.

Fonts

The site’s two typefaces, Zilla Slab and Public Sans, load from Bunny Fonts (fonts.bunny.net). Your browser asks their server for the font files, so it sees your IP address. Bunny Fonts says it doesn’t log or track visitors.

Zone lookup

If you type a ZIP code into the zone finder on the home page, your browser asks phzmapi.org for the USDA hardiness zone of that ZIP. Only the ZIP code goes in the request. We don’t store it, and nothing is sent until you press the button.

Pages link to sources such as university Extension services and the USDA. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Changes

If we add visit counting, affiliate links or anything else that handles data, this page will say what it is before it goes live.

Questions about your data

Write to hello@plotandzone.com. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.
